Quick sketch in my sketchbook

A sketch of me in my happy little corner in my living room. This is were usually sit and work, but also spend endless hours on the internet (and sometimes even playing Sims 4).
I also read and draw in this spot. It can be messy, but I'm working on it.

I still don't have words or a way to react to what happened yesterday in France.
But to me it only made sense this week pattern to be this #jesuischarlie

Contemplative Girl

Começo a achar que tenho uma fixação por pessoas que usam chapéu. Já são mais do que uma dúzia de vezes que dou por mim a desenhar pessoas de chapéu. (como podem ver no Sketchbook \\ Do what you love e no Still thinking about summer)
Desenhar sempre da mesma maneira é algo impossivel no meu mundo, especialmente porque tenho a tendência a aborrecer-me com facilidade, o que me leva a estar sempre a experimentar diferentes coisas.
Quando começo um desenho, começo sempre pela linha. Mas nunca é a mesma coisa. Nunca começa um desenho sempre da mesma maneira, com esta ou aquela parte do corpo. Às vezes começo com um detalhe até atingir o todo, outras vezes começo com uma estrutura e só depois os detalhes.

I'm starting to think I'm obsessed with people wearing hats. I've already catch myself drawing people with hats more than a few times. (as you can see in Sketchbook \\ Do what you love and Still thinking about summer)
Because drawing always in the same way, it's something quite impossible to me, and i have tendency to get bored easily, I'm always trying out different things. 
I start with some line art. But it's never the same. I don't always start by drawing this or that part of the body. Sometimes I start with a detail until reach the all, other times I start with a structure and move on to the details.

An alter ego (Latin, "the other I") is a second self, which is believed to be distinct from a person's normal or original personality. The term was coined in the early nineteenth century when dissociative identity disorder was first described by psychologists. A person who has an alter ego is said to lead a double life.

A distinct meaning of alter ego can be found in literary analysis, wherein it describes characters in different works who are psychologically similar, or a fictional character whose behavior, speech or thoughts intentionally represent those of the author. Similarly, the term alter ego may be applied to the role or persona taken on by an actor or by other types of performers. - via wikipedia

Parece que finalmente podemos guardar os guardas-chuvas e começar a ir buscar a roupa de primavera, e sabe tão bem este solinho...

O texto é antigo (2006). Espontâneo e inspirado numa foto duma flor amarela.
É sobre uma pequena flor amarela e uma menina que a vê todos os dias.
Tudo muda, no dia em que a flor amarela desaparece. A menina procura, procura, mas não a consegue encontrar, em lado algum.


Voltei a este texto à pouco tempo, quando estive num workshop de Escrita e Ilustração do Planeta Tangerina.
O desenho em cima são os primeiros esboços e experiências com layouts.

Já aconteceu a todos certo? Aquelas pessoas chatas chatas que não param de falar por nada deste mundo e única solução que temos é ficar com cara de parvos a olhar para elas e (des)concordar com elas.
